The Mall Deli

"I’ve been wanting to try The Mall Deli in Pittsburg, Kansas for quite some time, and while I was in the area running errands, I finally stopped in to give it a try. Monday’s special was a Reuben served on a rye/white mix bread with Russian dressing, and it came with chips and a pickle for $8.99. I also ordered the French dip because I wanted to see what that was all about. Both sandwiches came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive. The service was fast and friendly, and both sandwiches were very good. I was genuinely pleased with both orders and would absolutely order either of them again. One thing I found interesting—and something I’d never seen before—was that they’re known for their crackers and homemade Italian dressing. As soon as you’re seated, they bring out a basket of crackers with their Italian dressing to drizzle on top. It’s not something I would have thought to order on my own, but I actually enjoyed it. A unique and thoughtful touch. If you’re ever in the area, this is a solid stop. It’s also kind of nice strolling through the old mall—small, laid-back, and nostalgic. I've been eating there for 30 years and not once have I ever had a bad experience. I've never given them a review and I felt that they deserve one five stars thanks guys! Always great !!!!"

"A friend told me about this place and on our way home we decided to give it a try. We got chicken corn chowder soup. It was very good. French dip and rueben. Both were great! They were very busy coming out of a rush, and our wait was a little bit, but definitely worth it. Once our order was taken, our food was our quick! We will be back."

"Extremely fast and delicious. While you're waiting for your order there are crackers with creamy Italian dressing to snack on. The menu has a good variety and is very affordable. My plate was clean, and they aren't small portions, so I definitely enjoyed it!"

"My meatball sandwich was huge, in fact best eaten with a knife and fork. The marinara sauce is VERY mild, no spice. The roll was very soft and fresh. The “German” potato salad was good. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended."
